ANIMATION- POSSIBLE OUTCOMES – TESTING

In this part of my researched about the different ways to do animation (the styles i will be looking in more depth are, stop animation (traditional), digital, “puppet” animation. so i more depth i will show 3 videos of each and write about the main idea of the animation and why i will take inspiration from one or all animation.

(*BEHIND THE SCENES AND THE STOP MOTION ACTUAL VIDEO/ACTUAL VIDEO*)- I liked these videos because they gave me inspiration and general idea on where and what to do for my animation. The camera move with the cameras to give a smoother look, a more realistic look to the stop animation. Audio- Foley is added for the sound-effect in post production to add depth and to also enhance the auditory experience.

There are four main types of animation:

2D animation. 3D animation. Stop motion animation. Motion graphics.

Animation/animatic – (without songs just with sounds) This inspires me to think about the use this type of animation because it’s smooth and you can tell see a story through movements even without the sound. Audio- Narration is at the beginning of this animatic. There is slight footsteps but because of the song, since it is an animatic the music overpowers the back ground noise and then by the end of it you do not need so much narration or script in animatics, so the music tells the story and entices the audience, however, this helps with visuals as well.

Animation/animatic – (without songs just with sounds) this inspires me to think about this type of animation. The movement is slow and rhythmic so you can see the story unfold, the trees and the colour scheme help with the dynamic of the story, the dark colours help show a darker twist as well as the huge trees showing our main character the size and drawing attention to the character and its surroundings. Audio- The main audio tells the story for the audience. This helps the audience develop an understanding for the story as well as it enhances the visuals with the audio.

Clay/puppet stop animation- This inspires me to do something different other than traditional animation as well as think outside the box just like these creators did. The camera perspective also shows the dynamic between the character and the audience, The colour schemes in both are natural and there are a few warm colours in each. Audio- This type of style of music/sound enhances the theme of it, it gives a Tim burton type of style, so frendly and playful as well as a little bit twisted this link between ‘the character’

Starting the storyboard here. Draft one is where an idea came to mind but I couldn’t put words to sketches however in my next one I’ll spend longer on and will go from my second or third draft.
This is my second draft. I’m writing from personal experience so this is helping with my visual and things might change with my storyboard but so far this is helping planning and what to change in my animation if need be.
